In the bustling heart of Midas Hotel & Casino's Mayfair Venue, the San Lazaro Hospital Employees’ Multipurpose Cooperative (SLHEMPC) gathered on February 16, 2024, for a momentous occasion - the SLHEMPC Strategic Planning Workshop. From 9 A.M. until 5 P.M., the workshop was facilitated by the One Cooperative Federation (OCF).
The event commenced with an inspiring opening address by SLHEMPC's esteemed Chairperson, Dr. Ruel Teaño, setting the tone for an engaging and productive day ahead. Throughout the workshop, participants delved into various aspects critical to the cooperative's success, following a meticulously crafted agenda that covered essential topics ranging from financial reports to strategic drivers.
One of the highlights of the workshop was the interactive sessions where the Board and Management actively exchanged ideas and insights. From the comprehensive review of the cooperative's performance in 2023 to exploring the Philippine cooperative landscape, each segment sparked lively discussions and brainstorming sessions. The atmosphere buzzed with enthusiasm as the attendees collaboratively explored ways to enhance operations and better serve their members.
As the day progressed, participants eagerly embraced the opportunity to partake in workshops focused on Strategic Drivers and Key Result Areas/Key Performance Indicators (KRAs/KPIs). Divided into groups, the attendees engaged in in-depth discussions, sharing perspectives and innovative strategies to propel the cooperative forward. The workshops not only fostered teamwork but also empowered individuals to take ownership of their roles in achieving the co-op’s objectives.
The culmination of the workshop was marked by the closing remarks delivered by Vice-Chairperson, Dra. Edna Miranda. Expressing heartfelt gratitude to all attendees, Dra. Miranda emphasized the invaluable contributions of each participant towards the success of the event. The positive outcomes achieved throughout the day underscored the collective dedication and commitment of the co-op toward continuous improvement and excellence. With that, the co-op Strategic Planning Workshop was more than just a gathering of minds; it was a testament to the cooperative's resilience, innovation, and collaborative spirit. As the co-op continues its journey toward realizing its vision, the success of this workshop serves as a beacon of inspiration for the entire cooperative community.
Through collaborative brainstorming sessions and interactive workshops, OCF fostered an environment conducive to open dialogue and innovative thinking, empowering SLHEMPC's Board and Management to actively contribute to the cooperative's success.
The co-op’s influence extends far beyond the confines of a single workshop. As a committed facilitator of cooperative development, OCF stands ready to assist and facilitate events for cooperative members across various sectors and industries. With a diverse portfolio of services, the co-op is well-equipped to meet the evolving needs of cooperatives in today's dynamic landscape.
Armed with a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to cooperative principles, OCF is poised to guide cooperatives toward greater heights of success and sustainability. As we look to the future, let us embrace the opportunity to partner with One Cooperative Federation in unlocking the full potential of its various services in the cooperative movement.
